About AV’s Cabinets

Andrey Voronenko is the principal of AV’s Cabinets. He was born in Latvia and emigrated to the U.S. in the late 1990’s. While growing up in Latvia, Andrey worked with his grandfather who operated a small woodworking shop in a very small town. Some of his training came from the early hands-on experiences. His early experiences with his grandfather taught him the old world techniques of building doors and cabinets by hand. Over the past 8 years he has done installations and finish work. He has also built every type of cabinet and coffered ceilings. Andrey is an expert in installation of stacked mouldings and difficult detail work.

In 2006, after working for other cabinet makers in the Sacramento area, Andrey started AV’s Cabinets. Since then, he has built and installed countless cabinets in homes and businesses throughout Northern and Central California.

Because of his hands-on experience, Andrey know that the time it takes in the beginning of the process is critical. You are able to look at as many options as you desire and ensure that you will be satisfied and comfortable with the look of your new or rebuilt space.

01

Consultation & design selection

The project starts with time spent on options — door styles, woods, finishes, layout — until the design of your space is something you’re comfortable with.

02

Built as one-off work

Cabinets, doors, ceilings, and built-ins are constructed for your project — the same old-world cabinetmaking Andrey trained in, applied to each individual home.

03

Installed under his supervision

Installation, finish work, stacked mouldings, and the difficult detail work are overseen by the person who built the pieces, so the result matches what was designed.

The work between the photographs

Portfolio pictures show the finished room. These show how it gets there — templates mocked up full-scale on site, finishes applied by hand in the shop, and crown fitted by the person who built the cabinets under it.
