Every piece is made to order at the shop on Duluth Avenue and installed on site by Andrey, so distance changes the logistics of a project rather than what can be built. Most of the work happens across the greater Sacramento area; the portfolio also reaches the foothills, Lake Tahoe, wine country, and the Bay Area.

Meet your cabinetmaker
Old-world training. Sacramento craftsmanship since 2006.
While growing up in Latvia, Andrey worked with his grandfather, who operated a small woodworking shop in a very small town. His early experiences with his grandfather taught him the old world techniques of building doors and cabinets by hand.
In 2006, after working for other cabinet makers in the Sacramento area, Andrey started AV’s Cabinets. Since then, he has built and installed countless cabinets in homes and businesses throughout Northern and Central California.

We sit down with the room
Door styles, woods, finishes, and layout get decided together, for as long as it takes to be sure. Andrey treats this as the most important part of the job — everything downstream is cut to what you settle on here.

It gets built to your measurements
Not ordered from a catalog and trimmed to fit. Cabinets, doors, ceilings, and built-ins are made to order in the Rocklin shop for the room they are going into, out-of-square walls included.

Installed under his eye
Installation is carried out under Andrey’s supervision, so the finish work and stacked mouldings are held to the same standard the pieces were built to.
What does custom cabinetry cost?
There is no price list, because nothing here is a stock product. Cost follows the size and scope of the project, the wood species and finish, how the doors are built, the interior fittings, and how complicated the installation is. You get real numbers for your own project at the consultation — not a range invented before anyone has seen the room.
