The Highway 50 corridor
Custom Cabinets in El Dorado County
El Dorado County climbs from some of the region’s most ambitious custom-home country — El Dorado Hills — up the Highway 50 corridor through Cameron Park and historic Placerville into the pines. AV’s Cabinets serves the county from its Rocklin shop: custom kitchens, bars, vanities, coffered ceilings, and built-ins, designed at consultation, built to order, and installed under his supervision.
Notably for homeowners here: only Placerville and South Lake Tahoe are incorporated cities. Almost everywhere else — El Dorado Hills and Cameron Park included — is unincorporated, which changes who handles permits (see below).

Where we work in El Dorado County
El Dorado Hills and Cameron Park anchor the western county and sit an easy run from the shop via Folsom; Placerville and the communities along Highway 50 — Shingle Springs, Diamond Springs, Camino — follow the corridor east. Tahoe-basin projects are considered individually, with logistics settled at the consultation.
Permits & building authority
El Dorado Hills, Cameron Park, Shingle Springs, Diamond Springs, and nearly every other community here are unincorporated — El Dorado County is the building authority. Only Placerville and South Lake Tahoe run city departments. Official resource: El Dorado County Building Services (most of the county) or the cities of Placerville / South Lake Tahoe.
The cabinetmaker
Every project here is designed with you and built to order in the Rocklin shop by Andrey Voronenko — the craftsman AV’s is named for — who oversees the installation. His story.

What we build here
El Dorado County questions, answered
- Is El Dorado Hills handled by a city building department?
- No — El Dorado Hills is unincorporated despite its size; El Dorado County is the authority. It surprises people mid-remodel, so we confirm jurisdiction at design.
- How does distance from Rocklin work for county projects?
- The western county is close — El Dorado Hills is just past Folsom. Everything is built in the shop, so distance shows up only as installation scheduling, which is set at the consultation.
