Nevada City keeps one of California’s best-preserved Gold Rush downtowns, and the houses around it are the real thing — Victorians and turn-of-the-century homes whose interiors deserve cabinetry built the way their originals were. That is precisely Andrey’s training: old-world door and cabinet construction by hand, stacked mouldings, and the difficult detail work that makes new pieces read as though they were always there.
Working inside historic character
In a genuinely historic home the cabinetry question is never just storage — it’s whether new work honors the room. Inset doors with proper reveals, beaded frames, furniture feet, glazed and hand-rubbed finishes: these are the details that separate work that belongs from work that was bought. The Vintage collection in the portfolio speaks this language fluently.
And when a Nevada City project is a modern house in the woods rather than a Victorian in town, the same made-to-order construction simply changes register — the shop builds both.

Nevada City is an incorporated city and the county seat; projects in the surrounding unincorporated forest parcels permit through Nevada County.
