Nevada County’s housing carries more history per square mile than anywhere else in the AV’s Cabinets service territory: Gold Rush-era buildings in Grass Valley and Nevada City, decades of hand-built foothill homes among the pines, and mountain construction up the Truckee corridor. It is territory that rewards a cabinetmaker trained the old way — and that is specifically what the shop offers, an hour down Highway 49 in Rocklin.
Kitchens, vanities, built-ins, doors, and period-sympathetic millwork are designed with you at consultation, built to order in the shop, and installed under Andrey’s supervision.
Where we work in Nevada County
Grass Valley, Nevada City, and the surrounding unincorporated communities — Penn Valley, Alta Sierra, Lake of the Pines, Lake Wildwood — are the county’s working core for us, reached directly from the shop via Highway 49. Truckee and the higher country are handled project by project; feasibility and scheduling are confirmed at the consultation.

Grass Valley and Nevada City run their own building functions, as does the Town of Truckee; the county serves everywhere unincorporated — Penn Valley, Alta Sierra, Lake of the Pines, Lake Wildwood, and the rest. - Do you really come up the hill from Rocklin?
- Yes — Highway 49 makes the western county a straightforward run from the shop. Pieces are built in Rocklin and installed on site, so distance mostly affects scheduling, not what can be built.
- Can you work on genuinely old buildings?
- Old buildings are where Andrey’s training shows: hand-built door and cabinet construction, period profiles, and the patience old walls demand. It’s the county’s specialty and one of ours.
